About Me:

I am a Queer-identified therapist with over 20 years of experience working with diverse LGBTQ+ identified individuals. I am a seasoned clinician and administrator, and I am happiest when I can utilize both aspects of my training.  My background is in LGBTQ+ community mental health, where I have served as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and Outpatient Clinic Director.

My style is warm, active, and authentic. I welcome laughter and questions in therapy. Having worked in LGBTQ social services and public health for over 20 years, I am sensitive to the stressors and challenges that come with living outside of hetero/ cisgender norms.  I also work to recognize racist, sexist, classist assumptions in mental health that undermine personal and community wellness.

I am a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner and have found this therapy helpful to clients feeling "stuck,"  experiencing symptoms of trauma, anxiety, or intense negative self-beliefs.  I also incorporate the following approaches in my work:

  • Psycho-dynamic

  • Cognitive-Behavioral

  • Harm Reduction

I am also a Queer-identified parent and happy to support clients around a variety of topics including coming out, physical/social transition & Queer parenthood.

Insurance:  Out of Network
